Etobicoke 

X-Country Ski Club 

Every Wednesday during the ski season we take the bus to a ski resort up north. Arrive by 8:45 for a 9:00 AM sharp departure from the parking lot at the Etobicoke Centennial Park, Ski Chalet and return from the ski resort at 3:30 PM arriving home before dinnertime.

From April to October we run an Urban Hiking program. For further details go to Hiking.

Ski & Snowshoeing trips

​​​Mission: to promote participation in Cross Country Skiing for Active Seniors 55+ combined with social events. Ancillary activities can include hiking and snowshoeing.

​Our Executive Committee consists of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past-President, Trip Convenor, Social Convenor and Membership Convenor. The Term of Office for Committee Members is 2 years.  For descriptions of each role, see Executive Committee page.

Due to fire at Hardwood Ski, location of Jan 24th trip changed to Wasaga Beach. Lesson moved to Feb 7th. 


​Ski Lessons are back! Due to the success of lesson over the past three years, the Club will be offering lessons on 4 dates this season. Two beginner lessons and two intermediate lessons focused heavily on hill technique. To keep the teaching ratio reasonable, we will be asking members to sign up for a lesson by 6:00 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the Wednesday trip.  See Ski Lessons for details and dates.
